It’s pretty obvious which kids are into cars – they’re the one racing toys around saying “vrooom, vroooommm!” to simulate the sounds of an engine. Often, the fascination with automobiles begins as a toddler playing with toy cars, continuing right on into adulthood, when they’re chasing after the real thing.

As an adult, you might daydream about driving the latest luxury car or hot-rod, if you only had the money. Kids, though, don’t have to settle for affordable or modest vehicles. They can play with the hot rods and custom machines that they see in movie car chases or classic car shows. Of course, many toddlers are just as fascinated by the plain old cars driving down the road that adults take for granted – it’s the idea of cruising down the street that captures their imagination.

If your child is nuts about engines and knows more about cars then you do, encourage their interests! Whenever you’re working on your own vehicle, let them tag along and explain what you’re doing. This can encourage their infatuation with toys – as well as giving practical skills that will serve your son or daughter well once they reach driving age. Secondly, get the right car toys to allow your child to explore his or her interest in automobiles.
